The development of the tool for physical therapy after Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery

Objective of project

-To develop the tool for adjustment the walking training in physical therapy after ACL reconstruction by displaying average mass of the patient’s compressive force during the rehabilitation protocol on cell phone screen
-To test the efficiency of the tool.

Therapeutic exercise is important for recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury with meniscus tear after arthroscopic surgery. The surgeon has to limit weight bearing on the surgical side for 3 weeks to protect repaired meniscus after that the patients have to do progressive weight bearing followed by rehabilitation protocol. This present project aims to develop and test the efficiency of the tool which can be displayed on a cell phone screen, converting the compressive force value on the sensor to the mass of the patient using the designed application.
