Improvement of the KOSEN's Biggest Dormitry by using ICT Technology

Objective of project

To improve our lives by solving this problem, we created a system to count the number of people and used that data to analyze the cloudiness. People were detected as 3D data by using depth camera. The system can be installed in the package and collect people's data in various places. We believe our system is able to be used in many different applications.

We live in a dormitory of NIT, Toyota College which is one of largest dormitory in the country. Our group have developed the system to make the dormitory life more comfortable by detecting clouded place and share with the ICT tool.
Because 600 people live in the dormitory, public facilities such as the dining room and public bathroom are always quickly crowded at certain time. For example, the dining room in our dormitory is crowded and seats will soon fill up after the time that club activity finishes. 
Therefore, if we could know before we go to the entrance of the facilities which is located far from the visiting room, we can spend the time more comfortable and efficiently.
