Learning Kanji with EASY TALK

Objective of project

Therefore, we used EASY TALK to investigate unknown kanji characters that appear in classes at KOSEN. From the accumulation of actual usage scene data, we examined the vocabulary and the translation error rate. In this presentation, we propose future tasks of kanji learning and its efficient learning methods.

Abstract
In recent years, Smart Electronic products have come to be used in various situations. In this research, we focused on kanji learning using EASY TALK, a translator equipped with an AI function, and carried out research.
The reasons are twofold:
First of all, four foreign students, including me (Guy), have been enrolled from Princess Chulabhorn Science High School (PCSHS) since this April, 2019. We are enrolled from lower grades where Japanese language is not enough.
Second, from the results of the questionnaire survey conducted to foreign students, there are extremely many students who have raised the difficulty of learning kanji while learning Japanese.
We hope to develop a support system for foreign students in the future by creating an effective Kanji learning style.
