Development of a reading system for physical books in MR space

Objective of project

1) To develop a system to detect hand movements that use only color information.
2) Someone else evaluates the system.
We simulated MR using AR's development environment that is Unity and OpenCV+.

Japanese people tend to read physical books(p-books) more than e-books. One reason is that
people can’t feel reality when they read books without touching paper. Now, we focus on Mixed
Reality(MR), which may be used in our daily life in the future, and studied the development of reading
p-books system in MR spaces. The system can display characters on a blank book and we can start
reading new books without changing books. It also can decrease consumption of resources. By the
way, preparation for MR space takes a high cost, so we used Unity and OpenCV+, and simulated in
AR space.
